Boardlink "In today's society, people are dealing with complex issues throughout America. Step Up! gives volunteers the opportunity to make a difference in our communities. I wholeheartedly support this endeavor."

- William H. "Billy" Alford,
A & I Fire and Water Restoration Services

STEP UP! BOARDLINK
connects volunteers interested in serving on the governing or advisory board of a nonprofit to a collection of over 100 organizations in Horry County. In connecting professionals and nonprofit organizations, the process works like this:

1. Professionals complete and submit the on-line form below. This information then becomes part of the STEP UP! BOARDLINK database.

2. Nonprofit organizations receive basic profile information of all database registrants once per quarter.

3. If an organization is interested in an individual to fill a specific board seat, it requests and receives the individual's complete resume (as electronically submitted to BOARDLINK).

4. The organization then directly contacts the individual and presents its board opportunity. Organizations should contact prospective board members at their earliest convenience, as these individuals may be in demand by other organizations.
